From Phys Org, All nations must work together more than ever, to keep max 1.5 degree C climate warmth goal – I think the USA may not target that, unfortunately

From an Article In Phys – Org, The climate change target of maximum 1.5 degrees celcious is at risk. It really depends now on many nations working together and meeting their green house gas emissions. Or maybe even beating that target.

Here in the USA, we had a new presidential election, and Trump is president from 2024 to the next president in 2028.

He really has shown no interest in meeting green house gas reduction goals. He may even have the EPA lessens standards for emissions from gas and diesel vehicles. Which in the long term would likely increase our carbon foot print instead of lowering it.

Perhaps other countries can put some pressure on the USA to keep our previous goals or try to meet the new targets. It is unlikely I would say.

There’s also a pretty cool graphic on this article as well.

In any event, it seems like the politicians’ continue to kick the can on this.
We don’t expect much progress for a while. Which seems to always be the case on climate change and the world powers.

There have been some big efforts in finding new technology for power plants, to capture carbon as CO2, and some other ways to power turbines at power plants with different Thermodynamic cycles. Some thing to google, or maybe we can post about some items here at a later date
