not long ago we had a power outage that lasted a few days, and the cell towers were down for a while. We did not get any weather updates without our phone service. So I recently dug an old battery powered portable radio out of our attic. So we have some way to listen to alerts
There are some other great tips in the article below on tornado safety. Take a moment to read them. Especially planning on where to seek shelter
hopefully none of us get hit by a tornado. But you can improve your chances of being ok by preparing now
