From Physics dot org, new research into photocatalysis, specifically into what are the rate limiting interactions, with the materials, strength of the light, temperatures, etc.
This research can help optimize photocatalysis reactions such as those used to capture or maybe react CO2 gases, or light driven creation of hydrogen gas, etc.
What seems unique here is how they can determine what material properties and designs can effect the rates as well. Such as the nanoparticle construction, It seems truly modern age research to me. And the implications to assist optimizing green processes is also much needed.
